Mr. Staple serves on the Board of Directors for Corsair. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Assertio Therapeutics, Inc., Kyto Technology and Life Science Inc., Sempervirens Fund, Issue One, and Campaign Legal Center. Prior to Corsair, Mr. Staple was President and Chief Executive Officer at Corium, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company (acquired by Gurnet Point Capital). His previous experience includes serving as Director and Chief Executive Officer of BioSeek, Inc., a privately held drug discovery company (now Eurofins DiscoverX). Before, Mr. Staple was a member of the senior executive team at ALZA Corporation (now part of Johnson & Johnson), holding the positions of Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel. Prior to joining ALZA, Mr. Staple led as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Chiron Corporation (now part of Novartis), and as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Cetus Corporation. Mr. Staple earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.A. from Stanford University.
